About Tea Lili
Hi I’m Izzy, founder of Tea Lili ☺︎
I created Tea Lili share my love of Japanese tea, and the special moments that having a cup of tea can create.
In Japanese tea ceremony, the phrase ‘ichi-go ichi-e’ highlights how each moment and encounter is unique and can never be replicated, holding a beauty to be appreciated. Inspired by this philosophy, I created Tea Lili to bring these moments to life by sharing Japanese tea culture here in the UK through tea tasting workshops & events and a collection of thoughtfully selected teas.
With a close connection to Japan spanning over seven years, I embarked on a "tea quest" in Spring 2025. I spent three months on an internship immersed in the tea fields of Wazuka at Obubu Tea Farms, after which I had the privilege of becoming a certified Ambassador. Through the generous guidance of the farmers, the local community, and the tea leaves themselves, I returned bursting with stories from the world of tea to share, from history, to farming and production, current trends and brewing methods. The Tea Lili collection is intentionally small. Each tea is personally selected and sourced through real, lived connections with the farms and farmers in Japan. As I continue my quest and build new connections, you will see this collection develop ~ come and join the story!
